Working with a wide range of
local and central government organisations and institutions in its support of
local government construction
and property services. In particular
professional bodies such as the RIBA,
the ACA and the Federation of Property Societies, the FPS
being an umbrella
organisation representing the views of nearly all local government
professional societies to the Local
Government Association.
SCALA
have a partnering agreement with the Association
of Consultant Architects with whom they have agreed joint aims and
objectives
which include sharing the benefits each organisation can bring to
all those participating in the agreement. The 4P's
is the local government
organisation that supports local authorities in
developing PFI and PPP projects: their website is full of useful information
about PFI and current
activity. SCALA
is represented on the Abacus Construction
Index which is a free indexed directory to more than 2000 quality
online documents
and websites relevant to UK construction professionals as
well as the Clay Roof Tile Council. The Architects
Registration Board is the statutory
regulator of the architects'
profession in the UK and was established by the Architects Act 1997 while The
Architecture Centre Network (ACN) is
the independent body which
supports the work of the 20 architecture and related centres in the UK. SCALA
and Hays
liaise centrally and through
the regions seeking continual
improvement and feedback on staff recruitment for architecture and
construction services.
